The Tarot

Beliefs...

Divination should not be confused
with personal beliefs

C

hances are, you have already consulted a clairvoyant. You have surely noticed the facility some have diverting your preoccupations from the main subject of your concern, the object of the reading. Let us take an example of a reading concerning a career change.

It is not rare that the Tarot reader tells you the following : « There is nothing to worry about, for the spirits are with you ! »

Or : « You are now in a favorable karmic time… »

Honestly, what do spirits or karma have to do with the choice of a career ?

Why should irrational, unverifiable explanations be considered, before analyzing the reality of what is being lived ? Yet, this is often the manner in which divination is handled first. And in this example, what does the word « karma » really mean ? Fate ? Something to pay back or to understand ? Depending on the belief system of some, this word takes on different facets. How do you think the client will accept the message, especially that experiencing professional problems does not necessarily entail spiritually growth ?

Everyone’s belief is to be respected, because it crystallizes a personal vision on his existence, which is his own, and not that of another. But a Tarot reader must not impose his belief on the client !

Often we find a sense of predestination with people who are going through difficulties. They go to see a clairvoyant to find hope, to imagine that their life can change, and believe that there is a little bit of a heaven somewhere !

So let us agree that a Tarot reader must never go beyond the subject of the consultation, and he must never use the power he has to convince the other of his own beliefs.

If the Tarot reader is indeed a person of inner growth, he will practice the art of divination with the sole purpose of helping the other to grow ! The Tarot reader is a doctor of the soul, who loves to understand others and help them find joy in life !

Practicing divination by announcing events for the sake of the events, and giving out of context messages, like « you will receive good news », or « you will have an accident » and so on, is easy to do. But to explain why such an event will occur is the essence of true divination ! This is what we will be developing in next lessons.
